night ring 01:04:01

night ring (2006) was one of a two part of a sound installation for the henry museum in seattle: “day ring” and “night ring”.

"night ring", was a sound installation that played from dusk to dawn, drifting softly from the turrell sky space. some of the sound sources included a group of tuning forks which were supposed to be pitched in relation to the planets. along with the tuning forks, i recorded myself tapping and rubbing the wooden benches.
